About Us
Partnerships for Dentists supports dental professionals by managing the business side of practice operations so they can focus on delivering excellent patient care. We are seeking a Director of Operations to oversee up to seven dental practices, providing strategic and operational leadership across multiple locations.
Job Summary
As the Director of Operations, you will lead practice growth, performance improvement, and team development. You will be accountable for P&L performance, operational efficiency, team leadership, and patient satisfaction. This role requires at least 5 years of multi-site dental experience and strong analytical and people management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Lead, coach, and support Practice Managers and office teams
- Promote a culture of service excellence and high performance
- Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable
Operational & Financial Oversight
- Manage full P&L responsibility for assigned dental offices
- Oversee payroll, scheduling, collections, A/R, and cash reconciliation
- Review KPIs weekly/bi-weekly to assess performance and drive growth
Strategic Planning
- Develop and execute plans to increase capacity, revenue, and service quality
- Identify operational gaps and implement improvement initiatives
- Partner with doctors and teams on practice expansion efforts
Technology & Compliance
- Utilize dental Practice Management Software to monitor performance
- Conduct internal audits and ensure operational compliance
- Plan for technology or capital investment needs
Relationship Management
- Build trusted relationships with partner doctors, team members, and staff
- Maintain a regular on-site presence across locations (overnight travel required)
- Represent the company positively in local communities and industry circles
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of dental operations leadership (multi-site required)
- Deep understanding of dental office operations, including:
- Budgeting, payroll, KPIs, P&L, collections, scheduling, and compliance
- Excel proficiency for analysis and reporting
- Proven servant leadership style with strong team-building skills
- Track record of stability, results, and data-driven decision-making
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel overnight regularly
